Objective |
| ENVICO collects, analyzes and processes various information
on waste/recycling, and produces and manages waste-related statistics,
so as to rapidly provide the information to recycling businesses
and related organizations who lack the ability of information
collection and utilization. |

| ENVICO was designated
as a statistics producing institution on Dec. 2, 2002
by the Korea National Statistical Office in accordance
with the Enforcement Ordinance of Statistics Law, Article
4. We produce and manage 6 kinds of government authorized
statistics, and create and distribute free-of-charge publications. |

¢Ć Publication of Recyclable Resource Market Trends (Authorization
no. 39201) (monthly)
- Provides information on domestic and international economic
status, material market trends, and market trends and expectations
of recyclable resources, as a way to stabilize recycling production
and the distribution market and promote the recycling industry.
¢Ć Waste Reduction Status of Large Amounts of Waste Generators
(Authorization no.39202) (yearly)
- Provides information on the volume of waste generated and
waste reduction performance. It is based on data inputted on
the homepage of the Electronic Waste Manifest System (www.wms-net.or.kr)
by businesses generating designated wastes and general wastes.
¢Ć Recycling Performance of Designated Recycling Businesses (Authorization
no.39203) (yearly)
- Provides information on recycling performance including production
and usage volume of recyclable resources at designated recycling
businesses manufacturing paper, glass containers, and steel.
¢Ć Waste Recycling Performance Statistics (Authorization no.39204)
(yearly)
- Provides data on the status of permission of intermediate
treatment businesses and recycling report businesses, and recycling
performance by waste class. The information is used to nurture
the industry and establish policy, and is provided to start-ups
and exporters, etc.
¢Ć Agricultural Waste Survey (Authorization no.39205) (yearly)
- Provides data on the volume of production, collection, and
recycling of agricultural wastes (waste plastic and empty agrichemical
bottles). The information is used for establishing government
policies and ENVICO's plans on agricultural waste collection
and treatment.
¢Ć Environment Industry Statistical Survey (Authorization no.10161)
- Provides data on the status of businesses that fall under
five categories (e.g. ”°pollution management related manufacturers”±)
and includes business contents, sales, investment volume, export
volume, employee number, and number of certificate-holding personnel.
The companies, among 9 environment industries classified by
the OECD, are those whose statistics are comparatively easier
to generate. The survey is used for establishing and assessing
policy on the national environment industry and technology.

¢Ć Recycling Technology Information Bank
- Provides information on recycling technology including recycling
technology patents, national research subjects, research theses,
ENVICO reports, etc.
¢Ć Waste Recycling Experts Pool
- Register and search for the academic backgrounds, career histories,
major researches, etc. of environment and waste recycling experts.
¢Ć Environment Industry Information
- Search for environment-related businesses such as intermediate
treatment (specialized in recycling) and reporting companies,
equipment producing companies, etc.
¢Ć Institution Publicity
- Summaries of waste management and recycling promotions made
easy-to-understand for the public. Introductions on each institution
and searches on major contents are available. |
