In accordance with the inspecting organization
and standard designated and notified by the Minister of Environment,
ENVICO inspects size and performance in judging the suitability
of infectious waste containers. |

of Infectious Wastes |
|
| |
Infectious wastes are materials that can harm
the human body which are produced from medical institutions
or research organizations. It includes hospital wastes such
as human tissue, absorbent cotton, and the carcasses of laboratory
animals, etc. |

Objects extracted or cut from the
human body or animals, carcasses (from animal hospitals
in accordance with Veterinarian Law), the carcasses of
laboratory animals, blood, pus, and secretions from the
human body or animals, excluding dead fetuses more than
4 months old in accordance with the Law on Funerals, etc. |

cotton |
Absorbent cotton, bandages, gauze,
disposable diapers, or hygienic pads stained with blood,
pus, excrement, secretion, or disinfectants from the human
body or animals |

| Pathologywastes |
Culture containers, waste test tubes,
slides, cover glasses, blood bottles, waste gloves, waste

Wastes that are mixed with or in contact
with the 1st or 5th infectious wastes, and that are not

Exclusive containers with designated specification
and performance standards are used in order to safely store
and manage infectious wastes. They are divided into envelop
type and box type (corrugated cardboard, plastic). |
